The Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (CEL) at SRM University – AP is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of innovators and changemakers. Established under the Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (DoEI), CEL integrates entrepreneurial thinking into academic learning, ensuring that every student develops the mindset, skills, and confidence to transform ideas into impactful ventures.
Through experiential programs, hands-on workshops, and interdisciplinary collaboration, CEL acts as a bridge between classroom learning and real-world innovation. The Centre’s mission is to inspire problem-solvers, equip them with the right tools, and connect them with mentors, investors, and industry experts from India’s growing startup ecosystem.

Key Initiatives

Entrepreneurial Mindset Course

A university-wide foundational course offered to all first-year students, focusing on creativity, problem-solving, design thinking, and innovation. Conducted in 15 interactive sessions, the course introduces students to the world of entrepreneurship through activities, challenges, and real-life case studies.

Entrepreneurship Bootcamp Series

CEL conducts the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp (EBC) programs for students and aspiring founders. These intensive, mentor-led sessions guide participants through customer discovery, business model development, market validation, and pitch preparation — leading to incubation opportunities under HRC.
The Entrepreneurship Bootcamp is a six-week, high-engagement program comprising eight interactive sessions designed to ignite the innovation and entrepreneurial potential of students and faculty members at SRM University-AP.
The sessions, will be held during evenings and weekends, include workshops, case studies, and hands-on activities facilitated by industry experts, startup founders, and business mentors. Participants gain exposure to the broader startup ecosystem, learning directly from those who have successfully navigated the entrepreneurial journey.
Upon successful completion of the program, SRM AP students earn a minimum of 3 university credits and receive a Certificate of Completion. Selected participants also get the opportunity for direct entry into the Hatchlab Research Centre (HRC) incubation program, which offers:

Innovation Challenges

The Centre organizes founder meetups, ideathons, and innovation challenges that help students find co-founders, form teams, and co-create solutions to real-world problems.

Faculty & Startup Engagement Programs

CEL collaborates with faculty and incubated startups to promote entrepreneurial teaching and experiential learning models, ensuring innovation becomes part of the academic DNA of SRM AP.

Linkage with Hatchlab Research Centre

CEL works closely with Hatchlab Research Centre (HRC) — SRM AP’s official Technology Business Incubator — to channel the best student ideas into the incubation pipeline, providing access to mentoring, funding, and prototype development support.
