The Buddy Programme of SRM University-AP pairs new overseas students with current students who provide a kind face, a helping hand, and the first step to friendship for newcomers. Buddies can also provide linguistic assistance, cultural advice, and information on life at SRM-AP.
Although there is no set deadline for signing up, it is paramount for both volunteers and new students to sign up before the semester begins to ensure an effortless pairing.
Some of typical “buddy” activities are:
  • Face-to-face online meetups on any platform (i.e. Zoom, Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp, or Google Meet)
  • Discuss courses, professors, campus life, clubs, and other topics through email or online meetings.
  • Chat on the internet over a cup of coffee or tea
